Position Summary:

The Community Health Worker is responsible for spreading awareness about CoH, assisting in providing high quality programs, leading the effort to increase access to financial assistance, and ensuring financial compliance. You must fully support Cradle of Hope’s mission, work within established guidelines and policies, and be responsible for specific projects as assigned.

Schedule & Benefits:

This is a part time position (20 hrs/wk). Pay Rate: $23/hour, paid holidays, paid time off: 3 weeks (12 days). Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 9:30 – 3:00 (½ hour unpaid lunch break) and then enjoy a long weekend.

Qualifications:

Cradle of Hope is a pro-life agency. CoH’s mission is to encourage life by providing financial aid to women and babies in crisis, especially those women who might not choose life because of financial pressures. Must fully support Cradle of Hope’s mission and programs; able to positively interact with others; able to multi-task, be flexible, problem solve, and pay attention to detail; proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel; able to work as part of a team and independently; a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience training adults (in a classroom setting, community education environment, or other venue providing instruction to others or working with pregnant women/families in crisis) is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures delivery and implementation of CoH’s Financial Assistance program in accordance with the mission, goals, and policies of CoH.
  • Develops an outreach strategy to spread awareness about CoH. Attends and assists with fundraising events and CoH initiatives.
  • Develops an outreach strategy to increase the number of clients receiving financial assistance and the number of CoH partnering agencies submitting financial assistance applications.
  • Processes financial assistance applications. Ensures that CoH operates within budgetary and financial guidelines. Collaborates with the Executive Director to discuss proposed budgetary deviations or alterations.
  • Screens clients for financial assistance eligibility and completes in-person financial assistance applications with clients and follow-up evaluations.
  • Processes and maintains all financial assistance paperwork, releases, and reports.
  • Conducts financial assistance training to new and existing partnering agencies and provide on-going training/support as needed (including site visits when needed). Add financial assistance sites as needed. Maintain and develop relationships with social workers, healthcare personnel, and trained volunteers working at partnering agencies.
  • Provide referrals to those calling CoH for help. You are responsible for listening to the needs of the caller, navigating resources available, and providing information that aligns with the caller’s unique circumstances.
  • Increase the number of individuals/agencies donating baby items to CoH. Coordinates a steady flow of donations for baby shower basket items and writes thank you letters to those donating. Monitors the inventory of all baby supplies and cribs.
  • Assists in daily operations such as processing crib applications, safe sleep classes, completing office documentation, and responding to calls.
  • Become familiar with all CoH social media and ensure that it is updated and accurate.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings. Participates in the Strategic Planning of CoH.
  • Presents any funding ideas you may have to ensure the continuous delivery of services.

We are looking for a friendly Receptionist who can greet families that come to Cradle of Hope and who can respond to individuals who call Cradle of Hope for help.

 

  • Qualifications:
  • Must fully support Cradle of Hope’s mission, be able to positively interact with others, be kind, non judgmental, and compassionate.  Must be at least 14 years old and pass a background check.

 

  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answers the phone and greets visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Transfers callers to the appropriate staff.
  • Provides additional resources to callers when appropriate.
  • Prepares the Safe Sleep training room with materials
  • Assembles baby shower baskets which are distributed to moms.  Helps organize baby items.
  • Assists with other related office duties and projects as they become available.
